There have been a number of erroneous "facts" and statements made that have influenced the dialogue in Washington, and around the country, about why patent reform is needed. We've created this infographic to help stop the spread of misinformation.

Current legislation won't stop patent trolls as everyone hopes.

By targeting so-called patent trolls with such broad language in the current bills before Congress, it will definitely harm all patent owners, investors and small businesses and may not actually deter Patent Assertion Entities (PAE), aka trolls.

Patents not only empower entrepreneurial business, but fuel our entire U.S. economy. Without the power of patents, the results of inventive labor could easily be broken, dwindling any incentive to take invest in innovation.
